Behind the Mic: Podcast editors spill the beans

By podcast editors: Alison McCandlish, Eilidh Soussi and Marie McQuade

We gave an introduction to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Podcast at the 19th Annual Learning and Teaching Conference on 30th March, where we recorded a special episode.

We are coming to the end of our second year in this role and would like to think we have grown in creativity and confidence with each recording. (Listen out for the Lego noises from one of the workshops!) The 19th Annual Learning and Teaching Conference on 30th March had such good energy that we felt colleagues were happy to chat to us about their highlights of the day. As podcast editors we were in the privileged position of hearing about behind the scenes planning  from Sarah Honeychurch as well as from delegates who were keen to share their experiences with us.  The conference itself was a wonderful opportunity to find out about issues and thinking from across the university, a chance to mingle with other Schools as well as take time out from busy schedules to think and consider other perspectives.

This special podcast episode will feature Professor Andy Schofield (Principal and Vice-Chancellor), Sam Ellis (keynote speaker and Head of BMus Learning Teaching and Student Experience at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), highlights from some of the workshops and a selection of interviews and soundbites from colleagues.

Keep an eye on the SoTL Teams page.  The special episode will be released soon.
